I found these on sallysbakingaddiction.com as Cake Batter Sugar Cookies.
Here’s my recipe adapted from hers:
1 large egg yolk
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Vanilla
A splash of water
Mix all of that together, including an adequate amount of sprinkles to the batter.
I added more liquid to her recipe, because she calls for butter extract, which I do noooooot have. Even with the extra liquid, my batter was so dry, it was fully mixed, but crumbling apart.
Spray down your pan, roll em into tsp balls and roll them in more sprinkles. Throw 12 of em on the pan, cook at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
At 12, I pulled em out thinking they had to be burning. They were still soft in the middle. I left them on the pan for a minute and they hardened up enough. If they break when you attempt to pick them up, they are not done.
I love how mine turn out! They are tiny, colorful and cakey in the middle. Yum. Thank you, Sally!
Here is her original recipe, probably way better than mine, but honestly, do people often have butter extract around?:)
Enjoy!

Butter extract is actually widely available at grocery stores. Glad you made the cookies!
