Homemade tortilla chips for Cinco De Mayo? Yay!
You will need…
Lots of oil, or Crisco
In a large skillet, will it with about one inch of vegetable oil or crisco.
Once it gets hot, chop up the tortillas into triangles and toss into the oil. (It should immediately sizzle)
Put in as many will fit: usually 8 or 9 is good.
Flip continually until desired brown-ness.
Take out, and shake to get access oil off.
Put on a paper towel, so oil dries off even more.
Salt and enjoy!
